South Australia is an Australian state, it has produced cricketers that have represented Australia in all forms of the game—Tests, One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). George Giffen became the first South Australian to represent the national side when he played in the first Test of England's 1881–82 tour of Australia. Giffen went on to make 31 appearances for Australia, including 4 matches as captain in the 1894–95 Ashes series. 7 South Australians have held the captaincy of Australia, including the Chappell brothers, Ian and Greg. Greg Chappell has led the Australian Test side more than any other South Australian, with 48 appearances as captain. A third Chappell brother, Trevor, also represented Australia from 1980 to 1983. With 7,110 runs, Greg Chappell is the highest scoring South Australian in Tests. Ian Chappell is the second highest with 5,345. Greg Chappell has also taken more ODI wickets than any other South Australian. The only South Australian to have scored more ODI runs than Greg Chappell is Darren Lehmann, who made 3,078 runs from 1996 to 2005. ==Key==
